COMICS IVE READ WITH DICK GRAYSON

NIGHTWING: YEAR ONE

I love this comic SOSOSO much!!!! I read it online on Internet Archive (which you should check out if you haven't already, theres loads of everything on there) and was just having the time of my life the entire time.

The comic is of the period when Dick Grayson is fired as Robin and has to find out what his next move will be, and decides to become Nightwing, and it was really sweet seeing him go to the people he trusts and looking to find his new path.

Also, Batman, what the fuck is WRONG with you? He genuinely replaced Robin within a few days of firing him. Not him quitting. FIRING him. I love Nightwing for still making sure to be a good role-model and brother for Jason, even though it was while he was still trying to come to terms with being fully replaced. Dick and Jason's (BROTHERLY) relationship is one of my favourite things and it's so nice to see them getting along during Jason's Robin days.

BATMAN & ROBIN: ETERNAL (Vol 1)

I only started reading this like a week ago (and then forgot to continue) and yet I cannot remember whatsoever what was going on in it. I will check and update this when I do, but for now I'm just gonna put this here as essentially a placeholder. Hurray!

TITANS: THE LAZARUS CONTRACT

This was, I think, my first ever actual comic that I bought, and I got it fairly close to the time I'm writing this, literally only on the 19th of May 2024 (its the 3rd of June as I write this), and then read it a few days later. Honestly, I was expecting more Dick Grayson and Slade interactions because of their dynamic in Teen Titans (which I'm a fan of), but it was more focused on Deathstroke and Kid Flash, and Deathstroke being a weird and shitty father!

I still think it is a pretty good comic, and I enjoyed the artstyle, plus Dick still has a semi-important role and isn't treated like an idiot! Success!

I kinda need to take another look at it if I wanna write any more about it, my memory is awful and I've honestly kinda forgotten what happened in it.

BATMAN: WAYNE FAMILY ADVENTURES

My first piece of Batfamily content, and what kicked off my hyperfixation (aside from a fanfic I wont mention that may have had Spiderman and was the reason I switched from Marvel to DC) and honestly I hold it very close to my heart! I love the family dynamic, and how they act in this comic is my basis for them across all media, especially since it was my first introduction to all of them--aside from Dick, Bruce and Alfred. What I mean by that is that I hold this comic in such high regard that it's my idea of canon Batfamily.

All of this can be found/read for free on Webtoon and it's very good!! Lots of it is lighthearted, comedic, and generally the bats bonding with eachother--Bruce is an actual good father in this, or at least he's trying really hard, which is nice, and the reason why I'm personally a 'Good-ish-Dad Bruce' fan!

They are all so goofy siblings in this, and as someone with 2 brothers, it's super accurate. Also, the artstyle is super cute!! 100% recommend! Plus, they mentioned Dick's apprentice arc (Teen Titans 2003) in like one entire panel and I screamed. Any media that does that is a 10/10 in my books because the apprentice arc is my favourite thing ever, I literally dont care that it was just a passing remark, it was REFERENCED IN SOMETHING OTHER THAN JUST TT 2003. THIS IS MASSIVE.
